How to wash your hair in right way

How could we go the wrong way with something like washing the hair? We do it almost on a daily basis; however, the fact is that most of us are unknowingly washing our hair in an unhygienic way. So, in fact, we are actually damaging our hair without being aware of it.

Hair contributes a great deal to the beauty of the face. However, one should remember that though it looks strong and thick, it is actually very delicate. If we do not give proper care to it, it will not sustain. And hair breakage is the last thing anybody wants to have. Having said this, you may wonder what would be the right way to wash the hair. Here are some tips that you can easily follow.

How to wash your hair

You should comb the tangles in your hair properly before you wash your hair so that the tangles would not worsen while you wash. For the safety of your hair, you may wet your hair under the shower thoroughly. It does not matter much whether you are using hot water or cold water, but hot water will open up the scale like cuticles so that oil and dirt in the hair will wash off completely. After that, you can rinse your hair with cold water to close the cuticles.

Use gentle strokes of your fingertips to rinse your hair under the shower to get rid of the styling aids and conditioners that you have used previously. After that take a dollop of shampoo, rub it with your palms and apply it to your scalp. When you do this, make sure that you are applying the shampoo on your scalp rather than at the ends. This is because applying at ends will result in the weakening of the hair leading to splitting. If the shampoo is applied only at the end of the hair, it will dry the hair and will not get any of the desired results. After applying the shampoo properly, rinse it off with water.

It will be a great idea to apply shampoo for a second time on our hair. The shampoo that we applied first is supposed to clean the dirt and oil whereas the second is to treat the hair. The second application should be for at least a couple of minutes to get the desired effects, and after that, rinse it off completely.

You may just squeeze the water out to get the excess water off. Remember that you should not tug or pull the hair because the hair is very delicate especially when it is soaked. Apply a dollop of conditioner when the excess water is out. Let the conditioner remain there for around ten minutes and then rinse it off completely.

The process described here seems to be a time consuming one and one that takes some effort. All the pain that you take in caring for your hair will be duly rewarded with an enchanting look!
