Hair Removal Tips That Really Work

Before you try out any hair removal method, you have to bear in your mind that not all people have the same results. This is very important so that you won’t be frustrated if you don’t get the same results with a friend or two.

Tip # 1: When shaving, you don’t have to buy expensive electric razors. You can opt for disposable ones that have double blades for close shaving. Warm water will help soften your skin and prep it before you shave. Using shaving gel or shaving cream will allow a smoother shaving experience to prevent razor nicks and cuts. It is also good for sensitive skin as it keeps the skin moisturized while you are shaving. The most important thing you have to remember when shaving is that you have to change razors every 3 months, just like you should change your toothbrush. This is to prevent any bacterial infection you might get especially when you get cut while shaving with your razor. This usually lasts from 1-3 days.

Tip #2: When using depilatories, always read and follow the instruction on the packages. Leaving on a hair remover cream will cause your skin to burn especially if the product contains very strong chemicals. You should never use depilatories intended for the legs or arms on your face. Depilatories intentionally made for the legs are quite strong to be used on your sensitive face. People with sensitive skin should try out a small amount of the product on a little part of their skin and look out for allergic reactions before actually using the product on the whole body. This usually lasts around a number of days to a week depending on the efficiency of the product.

Tip #3: If you want to try out waxing, be sure that the hair on your legs or arms should be at least ¼ inch long. This is crucial for the wax to be able to stick to the hair, so you may be able to pull it off your skin. Buy a product that can be used all over your body so you won’t have to buy different products for different parts of your body. If you are taking any medication for your acne problems then you shouldn’t consider waxing. Your skin is too sensitive for waxing at this stage. Waxing usually lasts up to 3-6 weeks.

Tip #4: When opting for laser hair removal, make sure that you avoid sun exposure before getting the procedure done. Result will be more noticeable if you follow this. If you cannot avoid sun exposure, put on Sun Block that is high in SPF and wait for at least 20 minutes before getting the procedure done to you. Cold packs are best in eliminating inflammation and soreness after the procedure, so be ready with your cold packs then. Laser hair removal is permanent but you need to have maintenance done every 6 months.

Brush up on all of the tips before you try out a product so that you won’t be surprised with the results you have. Try to have fun in the process as well.
